I have researched into a lot of non-diegetic soundtracks to use throughout the trailer and the majority of these will be played much quieter so they fade into the background like in professional texts I have researched.
My opening sound will be very valuable to my trailer, as it has to outline the beginning of the narrative and this is why I had chosen to use a voice over for this bit. I looked into professional texts to see what sort of opening they would use and they also use voice overs, often a male one. This influenced my decision to use a deep voice, but not particularly a males voice because I want to challenge this convention and see if it has an effect.
I will also have a lot of upbeat, tension building moments in the trailer, I think that the combination of multiple non-diegetic soundtracks as well as diegetic sounds would mimic professional trailers and so I have found the following tracks to fit within the trailer:
I am not using any special sound effects so research into this would not be necessary, as I am only using dialogue, a voice-over and sound tracks. The following will be the script I am planning on using and I had filmed a short scene to see whether my actors voice went with the dialogue chosen. This is what I had found:
